Our music sets are built in front of you on overhead projector from scratch with electonics and soldering irons. The beginnings of our sets are usually in silence as the preliminary circuit is constructed from scratch, live.

Casperelectronics was established in the summer of 2000 in Providence, RI.
Since I started casperelectronics I have built instruments for dozens of musicians across the globe working in genres ranging from techno and sound scape to rock and hip hop.

"Laser Trail Tracker" is a performance tool that allows a perfomer to interact directly with the screen by a couple of laser pointers. The 1st performance was exhibited in Piksel04, after which academic derivative works were published.This year we will exhibit one of derivative result that allows an music performance with lasers. A performer improvises minimalistic music by using a newly developed sequencer.

Notstandskomitee is a (post) industrial musicproject Malte Steiner runs since 1991. Recent improvements of CPU and GPU performance and the availability of powerfull open source frameworks like the game engine Ogre makes it possible to run now music and visual synthesis synced in realtime from one laptop.

The unicorn is the only fabulous beast that does not seem to have been conceived out of human fears. The unicorn interface consists of 3 main parts: a glove with contacts on the fingertips, a board with 4 contact plates and a potentiometer on the forehead, the unicorn. The goal of the interface is, to be able to control various parameters at the same time.
