| reacTIVision |
| Martin Kaltenbrunner & Ross Bencina |
| reacTIVision is an open source, cross-platform computer vision
framework for the fast and robust tracking of fiducial markers
attached onto physical objects, as well as for multi-touch finger
tracking. It was mainly designed as a toolkit for the rapid
development of table-based tangible user interfaces (TUI) and
multi-touch interactive surfaces. |

| DIY noise
masks and toys |
| Elpueblodechina & Zosen |
| In this presentation we want to share the techniques and details
of building noise circuits integrated to masks and puppets.
We would like to invite people to build their own masks and
toys with us, hopefully using recycled materials and the mixture
of electronics and sewing. This mix bring us back to a physical
dimension of working with noise and circuits and to the open
source of diy techniques. |

| Create USB
interface |
| Dan Overholt & Annemarie Skriver Hansen |
Here's a description of the open source CREATE USB Interface (CUI) hardware. Hundreds of people use the CUI design throughout the world now. It is similar in approach to the Arduino open source hardware, but is capable of doing true USB HID (Human Interface Device) transfers |

| Circuitbending |
| Audun Eriksen |
| Circuit bending is the creative short-circuiting
of low voltage, battery-powered electronic audio devices such
as guitar effects, children's toys and small synthesizers to
create new musical instruments and sound generators. Audun will
give a quick introduction to the principles of bending electronic
toys with hands on exploration of circuits. How to integrate
microcontrollers with circuitbent toys using digitally controlled
switches. |

| ASNakedGene |
| Milos Rankovic |
| Cumulative (aesthetic) selection of “naked
genes” is discussed as an alternative approach whereby
no germ-line/somatic-line distinction is explicitly implemented.
ASNakedGene allows evolutionary
runs to be seeded by arbitrary sets of digital (or digitised)
images and generates variation through direct operation on the
arrays of pixel values as opposed to genetic representations
of them. |

| xinf
(is not flash) |
| Daniel Turing |
| Xinf (Xinf Is Not Flash) is another
platform for GUI programming, yet one with a twist: you have
one language and API to target Firefox' JavaScript?, Adobe's
Flash Player, and our own Xinfinity runtime (itself targetting
Linux/GTK, Windows and OSX). If the environment is capable to
do what you want, it shouldn't matter to you while you code. |

|
| Port Audio |
| Ross Bencina |
| Port Audio is an open source library
for creating cross-platform audio software. This library is
widely used by developers creating audio applications. PortAudio
provides a very simple API for recording and/or playing sound
using a simple callback function. Example programs are included
that synthesize sine waves and pink noise, perform fuzz distortion
on a guitar, list available audio devices, etc.. |

| Time line
OSC sequencer |
| Rob Munro (slick lister) |
| Rob Munro has been working on this
software (quite) intermittently for a couple of years now and
would like to present TimeLine OSC mainly to see what people
think it not really releasable, but i would like get opinions
on it. Effectively its a way on managing data outside of PD
- which keeps patches clean. |

The pdvjtools is a group
of externals indeed to use as utilities for PD VJ work
-colorgrid // pixpreview // imagegrid // videogrid
-show funcionality and usability for each external
-show an example of a puredata VJ patch with the different elements.
-possibility of incorporate the external pix_histogram |

| Robert Atwood |
| I would like to present
this as a short explanation, with a demonstration using my own
applications for sound and visuals communicating via JACK and
jackbytes. |

| Tagr.tv |
| Emanuel Andel |
| Tagr.tv is a festival
video blog that multiplexes documenting of all kinds of digital
and media arts events, and lets you experience festivals from
anywhere in close to realtime. It benefits festivals, artists,
editors and the audience, real world interconnections emerge.
Tagr.tv is open for your submissions! |

| August Black and
Federico Bonelli |
| We would like to join our forces and make a film under the
time constraints of a single week and within the so-called "limited"
availability of free software. At the end of the week, we expect
to have completed a full 9 minute narrative film that will be
shown to an audience, licensed
as Creative Commons. |

her parents how to use a particular device, or just, imagine
yourself streaming your birthday party to friends in Australia. |

| About how we are supporting the Arduino group through convincing
companies to pay us for doing whatever we like most. On top
of that I will present 15 new designs made during a residency
at Samsung in Seoul. |

| /etc/groups
: A Network Graphical Browser |
Yves Degoyon |
| /etc/groups is a web application
made with prefuse for the visualization of big sets of data,
mainly aimed at visualizing groups and organizations and the
relations between them. It has been developped in the context
of the memory project, a project to analyze social movements
who participated to social forums. |
