OPEN SOUND is a European network enabled through the Grundtvig learning partnerships program. Each of the partner institutions has strengths and skills which will be shared via site visits with the other partners. By participating in workshops, symposiums and conferences new skills will be developed as well as new focus areas of strengths in urban sound art, communication technologies, social inclusion and cross disciplinary discussions.
To make art not to be consumed but lived.
Open Sound is coordinated by APO33 (Nantes, FR) and partners include AntiTesi (Palermo, IT), Piksel (Bergen, NO), Granular (Lisbon, PO), Audiolab (San Sebastian, ES), ModusArts (London, UK), and N.K. (Berlin, DE).
Live!iXem 2011 is the eigth annual international festival of music, mixed media and experimental electronic art, and will be hosted by AntiTesi on Favignaga island on Sicily in collaboration with the Open Sound project on the 8th-11th December 2011.
