GISLE FRØYSLAND
Gisle Frøysland studied computer science, information science, TV production and arts in Bergen. Since the early eighties he has worked with a variety of expressions. As a musician he worked with music-orientated performance and installations which later developed into larger sculptural installations that also included sound and video, thematically related to the postindustrial society with strong references to the ideas and images of the futuristic movement. Lately he has mainly worked with installations where modern technology and communications is in the main theme. Gisle Frøysland is a founding member of BEK - Bergen Centre for Electronic Art, and initiator/maintainer of MøB.
Gisle is the initiator and main organiser of the Piksel festival.
