"overdriving an instrument is a useful method to exceed the both the limits of the tool and the limits of the user. the tool, being designed to perform certain tasks, is released from its boring routine and starts to produce sounds, while the user is forced out of his habits, limitations and traditions to find new methods to tame the ‘hyper’ machine"
noise-control-noise

tlalim's starting point is generally accidental. a needle drop, a controller gesture, feedback. this chance operation is then cut up, resampled, processed developed and moderated throughout the piece. tlalim is concerned with creating tension by producing these type of concrete elements and then breaking them down.
