MKeys is a generic interface system used to facilitate performance of all kinds. Originally it is intended as a tool for many types of Suppercollider 3 performance interfaces, but since can easily communicate OSC messages to external and networked applications. MKeys allows the user to define multiple modes for the computer keyboard and functionality for each key. functions can be sequences of events, single events, and toggle events. Additionally, more complex scenarios can be created by using keys to set values that control aspects of other keys. The software is in it's initial phases of development and has a growing list of features on the todo list like macro behavior and keystroke recording and playback among others.
